we’re gonna have big fun on the bayou
You know what I love about Mose Allison? Man knows how to have fun. He’s one of those dudes that makes me involuntarily feel like I’m happy. I mean, I know I’m not but you know what I mean. But I’m not downhearted. I’m not. But I’m getting there.
And with Van the Man.

I give you Van Morrison and Mose Allison and this is what I get?
I looked at that clip too Asstral. It wasn’t Van at his best but even so… I’ll always take Van. The exchanges between them were kind of cool.
I’m hurt. But really I am not Youtube Master. Someone else is.
You might not be YouTube Master but you are the sage of the Orange Tree. That carries greater clout.
You’re right. I am a pretty big deal. Throwing out compliments is easy from up here.
I don’t know what my problem is -you might convene with the great citrus God and figure it out for me but Mose is bugging me tonight. I used to like him. I’ve been looking at Mose clips for a while now and I need to quit. I’m a bad audience for guy.
I’m going to interrupt this conversation to ask you both a serious question.
I’ve put a thing in the sidebar to show the most recent comments. That way, if someone goes back and comments on an old post, you’ll see that something new is going on there. Is that a good thing?
Do you feel exposed, and if so is that a bad thing, or does it appeal to an exhibitionist streak that was otherwise feeling neglected?
I think it is a great idea. True I am an exhibitionist but not withstanding I think it is a stellar idea to help readers get what the want and not miss anything.
I like it. It’s way better. The whole thing was bugging me before now I truly feel complete.
Thanks for the Mose Allison! Cool.
What, I love the little thing on the side to see when a new post is made. Like say on the mystery lyrics thead. I would see it right way! Cool.
there’s some other things new on the side. see if you notice
SpeakEasy–nice use of the audio– video stuff too..
When did Phillip Seymour Hoffman start playing drums? That’s him in the second video right?
It just looks like him. It’s really Truman Capote.
what, thanks so much for the mose allison. being from mississippi he is somewhat of an icon to me. i discovered him when i went off to college back in the day and his version of “parchman farm” turned me into a fan of his and into a casual jazz fan as well. now to have taylor jam with him would put me in musical heaven. i am sure that taylor knows of him and digs him as well.
mose and van, what a match. i loved mose’s voice from the moment i heard it. i was immediatly reminded of him the first time i heard taylor as well. not that they sound the same but the fact that you know who it is when you hear them even on the radio. i would love to see more exposure for this totally genius artist. my most prized possession is his debut album with his signature.
eleanor, you’re welcome, but you’ve got asstral to thank, not me.
