something to talk about
We’ll just let things slide easy all weekend. Do some downloading, hang out, whatever. And because there can never be too much bass or too much Boogie:

I absolutely adore Boogie! He’s one eman bass player!
Ahh, Boogie..taking us along for the ride. Sweet
Who’s going to concerts this weekend? Not me, nothing but work, sadly. But I want to live vicariously through your ears.
At any GA show, I find myself maneuvering for a spot in front of Al. That he owns every inch of the bass is clear, but he also adds a fun visual dynamic to the show. I dare anyone to stand still while watching / listening to Boogie. Let’s hope Mr. Hicks can keep this man on the payroll. His style is a perfect fit.
Boogie is a show in himself. Taylor sure assembled a helluva kick ass band.
I love seeing him and Taylor jumping up and down together to the beat. Al is awesome… ditto with Robin above… hope he sticks around!!
Here is a beautiful read: http://music.giantcity.net/?p=13
A professional guitar player reviews:
1) Fender’s American Nashville B-Bender Telecaster, and
2) Hicks’ concert at Torrington CT. There are some very specific raves delivered here, rather than the usual “awesome.” And there is more commentary to come, apparently.
Here’s hoping the “soul patrol” can resist the urge to undo it all by burying this player in a fawn-alanche.
Cool find, Joe, sorry the word filter caught you, but you should have known better. I’m still digesting his description of that strad (which (a) reminds me to do more on Ana Popovich later, and (b) makes me feel better about my own lengthy lusting on the T5) For anyone who wants to hear what show he’s talking about, I’ll mention we’ve got video of close to the whole Torrington show up on this post:

So odd to see Boogie in a collared button-down shirt! You can recognize him at 300 paces by the body English, though…
