Most of the time, I like fast music. Rockabilly, punk, rock, swing, ska, big band, brass bands, even marching bands get my attention, catch my ear, and make me turn up the volume. It’s not easy for me to listen to s-l-o-w music. My hyper mind fights it. ‘Quick, change the station!’ it screams.

But when I do let myself ease into that slow pace that is so unfamiliar to me, I find…myself.
